Regift

So apparently the most popular regifting gift is socks!!! Personally, I don’t think regifting is cool. Giving should be thoughtful. Grabbing a gift someone gave you which you have no use for, wrapping it and pretending you specifically picked it out for the receiver is just not cool.

Years ago, among the gifts we received at our wedding was a saucepan the giver had obviously regifted to us. How did I know? The wrapper was old, faded and a tad dusty. She probably dug it out from under her bed and brought it to us. Lol. It wasn’t cool.

However, there is one gift that is so worth regifting over and over again! The Gift of Jesus Christ!! He is the most precious Gift God ever gave to us and not just you and I, dear reader, but to the whole wide world!! It is our job after we have received this Gift to share with others! This is how the Apostle Paul invites us to regift Christ “But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?” Romans 10:14

You’re probably as excited about Christmas as I am! You’ve probably made some cool plans too. Maybe like me you are also not crazy about regifting but I’m here to encourage you to include regifting Christ to others in your plans this Christmas and beyond. Share Christ with your colleagues at work, your neighbors or even a stranger! It’s the greatest most important gift you can give and the reciever will thank you for it some day! Merry Christmas!
