Like God

My second son started looking for Christmas gifts for himself and his little sister way back in November. That way I would have plenty of time to buy their gifts. Lol. Afterward, he started looking for gifts that he would buy with his own money for his siblings and a few of his friends. My 12-year-old gets it! He wants to channel God. He wants to give!

Christmas is about giving, not getting. We celebrate Christmas because God gave us a gift, the gift of Jesus! Paul in 1 Corinthians 9:15 thanks God for “his indescribable gift” which is Christ Jesus.

Christmas is not your birthday so instead of expecting to receive, plan to give. Identify a family or a person around you and be a blessing to them this year. Donate money to a cause, donate your time, share your food, etc. Give something. Giving and not receiving makes us look more like our Father in Heaven. As we know “it is more blessed to give than to receive” Acts 20:35. It’s ok if you don’t receive any gifts this Christmas. Put a smile on someone’s face by giving. Be like God!

Blessings!

Love,

Lady Monica ❤️
