God’s Rep

I always tell my kids to be mindful of how they conduct themselves because everything they do reflects on our family. It’s the same with God. As His children, we represent Him here on earth and our conduct reflect on Him.

King David committed adultery with Uriah’s wife Bathsheba. When she became pregnant, the king arranged for Uriah to be killed to cover up his sin. God sent the prophet Nathan to confront David and deliver God’s judgment to him. Nathan pointed out to David that
“… because by this deed you have given [a great] opportunity to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme [Him],…” 2 Samuel 12:14

When Samson, a judge of Israel allowed himself ( by his choices) to be captured and blinded by the Philistines, they gave glory to thier god Dagon for handing over Samson to them. This diminished the God’s glory.

What we do indeed reflects on God. Our actions and words too can either make the world mock the Lord or praise Him. It can lift God up or diminish His glory.

As we go about our lives today, let’s make decisions, carry ourselves and conduct our affairs in ways befitting of the children of God. You and I bear the name of the Most High God. Whether you’re at work, home, school, or in the streets, remember that whatever you do or say directly reflects on our Father in Heaven. How will you represent God today?

Blessings!

Love, Lady Monica ❤️
