Run!

Happy New Year all!!!

The beginning of a new year gives us a lot to think about. We have questions, we wonder, we ponder and we hope.

One of the metaphors the Bible uses to describe the Christian life is “race.” It says in Hebrews‬ ‭12:1‬ ‭”… let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,”

God has given us another year to run, and it behooves us to run a good race and obtain the goal.

I’m just stopping by to share a few tips with you on how to run in 2024:

  • Hebrews 12:1 tells us that the race we run is set before us by God, we don’t get to choose our course, and we follow the course set by God. What is God calling you to do in this new year?
  • Our race is not a sprint but a marathon, a lifelong marathon. I found out that it takes about 12 to 20 weeks to train for a marathon, sometimes 24, depending on your level of fitness, propensity to injuries, etc. to run a marathon for a few hours.
  • Since ours is a lifelong marathon, we must be in constant training and have a strict regimen of prayer, reading the word, fellowshiping, obeying the word, etc.  These will keep in the right shape and form to stay in the race!
  • Running involves your whole self-your body, mind, and spirit. It’s the same as the Christian walk. Paul would tell the Romans not to “use any of your body parts as instruments of evil to serve sin!” The totality of YOU must be put into this race.

Hope these tips help as we make our way through 2024. Happy New YOU!!!

Love,

Lady Mo ❤️
