Missed

Today, I’m calling myself out! I had the opportunity to spend a few hours with a wonderful family a couple of weeks ago. I may not see them again as they were relocating to another state.

Later when I got home, the Holy Ghost kind of rebuked me. He said “you know you missed an opportunity to talk to them about Jesus. You could have simply asked to pray for them after you said your goodbyes”. Okay, rebuke accepted.

They knew I was a Pastor so it wouldn’t have been awkward. Yet, I missed a good opportunity. How often have you also missed a chance to slip Jesus into conversations? Maybe you felt it was not the right time or it would seem awkward; maybe you thought that they may not be accepting, or you were just shy.

As Christians, we are on a perpetual mission to share Jesus anytime and anywhere. Every time is the right time and everywhere is the right place.

Jesus’ post-resurrection commission to His disciples and by extension to us was unmistakably clear. “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Mark 16:15

The gospel is for everyone and we don’t need to get a plane ticket in order to share. You can start right where you are. How do you start? Offer a prayer; invite someone to Church or to an event; act in such a way that people will want to know what makes you so different.

Actively seek out moments to share and when opportunities drop in your lap, grab them with both hands and don’t let them pass.

Blessings!

Love, Lady Monica ❤️
