unfinished

It is not always fun watching movies with my husband. He likes to guess the ending and he will not keep it to himself. Lol. Most of the time he is right though. Then there are those who will read the end of a book then go back and start reading from the beginning. What fun is there in that?

Our lives are like books being written by God. He knows how the end will be but does not always tell us. As the story of our lives unfold, we may encounter a lot of unexpected and sometimes unpleasant circumstances. Judging from such we may be tempted to conclude that our lives are over or nothing good can come out our lives.

Naomi found herself in such a place. She had relocated to another land with her husband and two sons in search of greener pastures. Years later husband and sons died and she felt her life had come to an end. Head bowed in shame and hopelessness, she returned home. As her friends greeted her with excitement, Naomi responded, “Don’t call me Naomi,” she responded. “Instead, call me Mara, for the Almighty has made life very bitter for me. I went away full, but the Lord has brought me home empty. Why call me Naomi when the Lord has caused me to suffer and the Almighty has sent such tragedy upon me?” Ruth 1:20‭-‬21

Uh-oh. That sounds so bitter and defeatist. Naomi had already concluded her story when God was still writing it! God was not finished with Naomi; He was was about to blow her mind, restore her joy, prosper her and make her even more fruitful in her old age!

God is not done with you yet. Whether you are living your best life now or you are at your lowest, your story is still unfinished. Whatever struggles you are going through right now, whatever bad news you have received, know that God has something better for you. His best for you is yet to unfold.

Allow Him to liberty to write your story in a way only He can; the end will be good!

Blessings,
Love, Lady Monica ❤
