Prayer Partners

I am yet to see anyone who rejects an offer of prayer. Even people who are not particularly religious will accept to be prayed for under certain circumstances. Prayer makes us feel secure, it gives us peace of mind. Prayer allows us to move on with our lives knowing we have entrusted pressing issues to one greater than us.

I always feel light after I have prayed; shifting my burdens to God sure frees me to live; knowing I have committed my affairs to Him, I can go through the day anxiety free.

We all need prayer partners because sometimes we need others to lift us up in prayer, pray with us or just pray for us when we are unable to pray for ourselves.

Well, the bible tells us we have the perfect prayer partners, one in heaven and one on earth! Their job is to make it easy for us to pray, show us how to pray and then pray on our behalfs.

“And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.” Romans 8:26″Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.”Romans 8:34

These are no ordinary prayer partners! They are part of the Godhead; they know God’s heart for us; they know what we need and what we must have; they present our needs before God. They are both praying with us and for us.

How cool is that? So the next time you feel you cannot pray or do not know what to say, remember you have two prayer partners eager to help you pray, give you words to use and where you fall short step in and pray in a way God understands. It is beyond comforting knowing that Jesus is in Heaven and the Holy Spirit is here and they are consistently praying for you. So breathe easy, God’s got you!

Blessings.
