Accessible

God is so far away in Heaven yet so near to us. We do not need to travel to go find Him; we do not need to undertake any rituals in order to appear before Him. We do not need to dress in a certain way or speak in a certain manner in order to access His presence. He is everywhere and eagerly waits for us to contact Him. God is just a prayer away. Moses put it this way to the Israelites. “What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to him?” Deuteronomy 4:7 NIV As believers in Christ, we have this same assurance that God is near to us. 1 John 5:14 adds that “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” Do not look at prayer as a duty, a quick fix or a last resort! It is a way to talk to our Father anywhere and anytime. It is about our relationship with God and the more we talk to Him, the more that relationship grows and flourishes. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 simply says we should pray continuously. Pray when you are sad, pray when you are happy, pray when you want something from God, pray when you want nothing from Him. This is really a privilege that we have as Christians. We are in a unique position to contact divinity anytime we deem it necessary. We just need to start talking to God and at once we get His attention. That is pretty cool if you ask me and a blessing too! Let us not make prayer more complicated that it is! God is not interested in playing hide-and-seek with us, He is easily accessible! Blessings!
