The 99

I have found myself praying a lot about God preserving His people during this season as we navigate uncharted waters. I have been asking Him to keep every single one of His sheep from backsliding or wandering away from the sheep pen. I am talking about the ninety nine.
““What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?” Matthew 18:12. Have you ever wondered about the ninety nine? What if one strayed when Christ left to pursue the lost one?
The Bible says there are many different kinds of vessels is a house and in the same way there are many different levels of maturity in the church. Without God’s help, not all of us will remain standing after this COVID-19 storm blows over.
Jesus could leave the ninety nine to find the one because the ninety nine were not alone. They had each other. If we take care of each other in this season, reach out to one another, pray for and offer comfort to one another, and keep each other accountable, there will be no danger of some wandering away. If we will shift focus from ourselves and what we are going through and extend ourselves to help each other, we will get through this ok.
Most importantly, if you are among the ninety nine, know that God is able to keep you from falling. Know that He has promised to never leave you no matter how confusing or bleak these times are.
“…for He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax M y hold on you [assuredly not]!” Hebrews 13:5 AMP
Armed with this assurance, let us then also act as Jesus’ hands and feet, be co-shepherds and go after the one and bring him into the fold too.
I pray that God “who is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy” will continue to watch over you and keep you anchored to Him in matter what!
Blessings!
Love, Lady Monica ❤
