Access

Have you ever tried to gain access to a prominent person without knowing someone close to him/her? Let me tell you, it can be very discouraging. Access is everything.

When Jesus breathed His last and gave up the ghost, Mark’s gospel reports that at that moment, “… the veil [of the Holy of Holies] of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.” Mark 15:38

Prior to this, God’s people didn’t have direct access to Him. They had to approach God through the priests who were the only ones allowed into the Holy of Holies.

With the tearing of the veil, we gained direct access to God! Imagine having access to the most powerful person on earth or in your country without going through pesky body guards and excessive security! Well, that may be nearly impossible.

However, Jesus’ blood bought for you and I free access to the Almighty God Himself-no body guards, no metal detectors, nothing!. We can approach God anytime! (Sigh of relief). Just call on Him and He promises to hear and answer! The only requirement is that you approach Him boldly (Hebrews 4:16).
