What are you creating with your Words?
In Genesis 1:1 God created all things out of nothing. He called the things that did not exist as though they already existed. He created everything we see by words; this speaks to the immensity, and the infinity of God. God is the ultimate being and His very existence transcends the minds of men.
Gen. 1:26-27 we are told God created man, however, it is not until Gen. 2:7 that we read that God forms man out of dust. Before God said let us form man, He envisioned the finished product before its manifestation.
In Gen. 2:28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” In essence, God instructed Adam not merely to procreate but create, re-create, and shape his environment in a manner that reflects His creator.
To create is to bring something into existence; to design, generate, manufacture. God formed man from things that already existed, i.e. dust. He breathed into us His breath, His ability and essence. In your mouth, on your tongue has God placed the power to create life. Whenever you speak, you are prophesying. God expects us to create positive things with our words. On your tongue is the ability to change the situation by your words.
Abram’s name became Abraham because God wanted his name to reflect his destiny. What you say, you create. God expects us to use our mouths to create beautiful things.
Numbers 13:1-3 narrates the story of Caleb and Joshua’s report after spying the promised land. They did not focus on the discomfort, but rather the significance of the land and what it had to offer. You may also be going through some turbulent times in life and out of that God wants to produce something beautiful. God is calling on you to create that favorable end by your words. He is looking for people who will turn around the unfavorable reports into favorable ones by words. The way you respond to the situation will determine the outcome.Numbers 14:28, God tells the Israelites, “As I live, just as you have spoken to my hearing, so I will do to you.”
Today, we have the benefit of having the Word live within us. As we speak the Word of God, we will see its manifestation. Within us is the creative ability of God which He exhibited during creation. You can exercise that power by speaking to whatever seems dead in your life to be restored because Christ lives in you.
We can call things into existence by praying the answer or by speaking the end result or outcome from the beginning. Like David in 1 Sam 17: 45-47, confess the Word of God. Search through the scriptures and locate what God says about the situation and confess it. If you are sick and need healing, search for scriptures about healing and begin to confess over your life. Bring things into existence through actions. After you have heard the Word, take a step. In Luke 17:12-14, Jesus tells the lepers to go and show themselves to the priest; as they obeyed and took action, they were healed.
To create with your words, build up your faith capacity; walk with the right people who will always put you on the right track. Do not allow the words of others to intimidate you. Take what is important in everything you see or hear and turn your ear off the negative. (Job 12:11)
