Omnipresent

Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? Psalms 139:7

God is everywhere. Now that is both comforting and scary.

Comforting because it gives you peace and confidence knowing God is with you through some tough challenges (water and fire moments) and is watching over you, guiding you and keeping you safe. It is comforting to know that God being everywhere means the Lord has already gone ahead of you to smoothen crooked paths, or create paths in wildernesses for you. “If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me. (v.9-10).

Because God is everywhere and cares for us we can boldly and fearlessly make our way through this earth knowing His eye is on us.

Now the scary part. Who are you when your parent, boss, mentor or pastor is not around? Most of the time we think we can fool people into thinking we are of a certain nature so long as we put on a particular act when they are around. We have all mastered the art of expertly juggling many masks. We have different masks for church, work, home, school, among friends, etc. We may be able to fool some of the people some of the time or maybe all the people all of the time but we cannot fool God. HE IS EVERYWHERE.

We have subconsciously designated church as the place where God is so we take pains to speak and act a certain way while there. It is as if God is contained in that building and once we step out of there we have stepped out of His eyesight. Be honest with yourself, some of you will not be caught dead using the kind of colorful language you employ at home and work at church; you take time to select the “proper” attire for church when some the clothes you wear to party with your friends will make even the devil blush.

Reminder: GOD IS EVERYWHERE. HE SEES EVERYTHING. HE HEARS EVERYTHING. HE KNOWS EVERYTHING.

He is there with you in the club, at the bar, in your bedroom, in your boo or babe’s apartment, at work, in the hotel, at the party, in school. He is there as you drive, hang out with your friends, behind closed doors, out in the open. Everywhere.
David continues “…Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You.” (v.12).

Live today as if God is watching you because well, He is.

Blessings.
Love, Lady Monica❤❤
