Which way?
I had heard many times that men do not like asking for directions. I wondered why and thought it was a myth because everytime I heard the statement, it was accompanied by a chuckle or a laugh. Then I got married. Well, let us just say it is not a myth, far from it. Lol.
I have no problem asking for directions whether from Google maps, Waze or a live person. I would rather ask and look silly than wonder around and waste precious time. I do not care what the other person will think of me. I suppose it is because I have accepted that I was born with a bad sense of direction. I do not even know if that is a thing. Lol
Sometimes in life we feel lost, not sure where to go or what to do next and we need some direction. Fortunately for us we are connected to the One who is all knowing and willing to teach, guide and direct us. Psalm 143 paints the picture of a man perplexed, confused and lost. In that state David knew who to turn to: the omniscient one. “…Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.” Psalm 143:8b. David had no qualms about asking God for help whenever he was uncertain or in a bind and we should not too.
We do not need to wait till we are lost to ask God for directions. We should ask Him everyday to show us where to go, what to do, what His will is for us. Now is as good a time as any, to ask. Put your plans before God and ask Him to vet them. Do not wait till you are in the middle of the journey or miss a turn to ask for directions. Blessings.
