Change

One thing I have come to learn in ministry is that people change and some change faster than you can spell C.H.A.N.G.E. Change itself is not a bad thing; change is part our growth cycle. God has designed it such that we progressively grow and as we progress we change both in form and in substance.

Not all change is good though and because people change we cannot always rely one hundred percent on people. People can disappoint us, cheat us, deceive us. People can make promises they had no intention of keeping when they made them.

There is good news here: we have a God who does not change. Hebrews 13:8 tells us “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

As He was with Abraham and kept His His promise to him, so will He keep His promises to you. As he was with Joseph in the pit, in prison and all through his life in Egypt so is He with you at all times. As He delivered Daniel in the Lions’ den and the three Hebrew boys in the fire, so will He deliver you!

God remains the same through the changing scenes of your life-in good times, in bad times-He remains the same merciful, compassionate, loving and caring God. He has not changed His mind about you. That should make you smile. In a world where things and people are constantly changing it is good to know we can trust God and rely on Him! He has your back, always.
