This Too…
A few days ago my husband and I were driving in town and we had to enter a major road from a side road. There was no traffic light on that side and what seemed like an endless fleet of cars was coming down. We had no choice than to wait for the onslaught to cease.
I commented that we would be on our side for a while. He then recalled that an older man he once knew would always caution his driver anytime he got agitated in that same situation to be patient and allow all the cars to pass. The old man would then add that even the flood in the days of Noah came to an end!
Thanks to COVID-19, we are all having to adjust to a new normal. Yesterday, we sat down with the kids and drew up timetables. After that I turned on the TV for updates and heard some “experts” saying things like the kids may be home for the rest of the school year. I woke up this morning with the great flood still on my mind!
“And it came to pass in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, that the waters were dried up from the earth; and Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked, and indeed the surface of the ground was dry.” Genesis 8:13.
Yes, after what seemed like an endless pummeling, the rains came to an end. The dry ground surfaced again and Noah and his family came out of the ark!
The fear and panic we are all facing in this season will also come to an end. In the last three days the number of people who can gather has been reduced from 250 to 50 to 25 to 10. Restaurants have to adjust to a new business model, among other things! We are all praying that the mystery around this disease will be solved and we can get our lives back.
Until then do not live in fear, observe all recommended safety precautions and trust God to see us through this. Psalm 91 is my go-to scripture for this season and I encourage you all to pray it too! This too shall pass!
Blessings!
Love, Lady Monica!❤
