Still Unfolding

If you saw Joseph’s brothers strip him down and toss him into the pit, you’d have thought it was over for him.

If you saw Hagar lay her dying son in the bushes, as both of them cried bitterly, you would have thought it was over for them.

If you were there when the three Hebrew boys were tossed into the furnace heated up seven times over or when Daniel was dropped off in the lions’ den, you’d certainly have thought they were done for!

Though all these examples had a sense of finality to them, none of these was the end of the road for these ones. Their stories were not over but still being written. There were many more chapters ahead.

As both Hagar and her son wept bitterly “…God heard the voice of the lad. Then the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said to her, “What ails you, Hagar? Fear not, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is.” Genesis 21:17

In the desert; in that dry and hopeless place, under those bushes, God heard the boy WHERE HE WAS!!

Maybe you’re in a desperate place right now; in a bind; a tight spot; you can’t see a way out of your situation. Whatever it is, I’m here to encourage you that God is still writing your story; it’s still unfolding. What you’re seeing or experiencing now is not the whole story. Trust that the God who sees you and hears you, is working out a plan for you. Patiently wait for him. It’s not over yet.

Blessings!

Love, Lady Monica ❤️
