Me & Myself

In the multitude of counsel, there is safety. That’s what the Bible says and I totally believe that. There will also be times when you have to take a step and would love to hear another’s opinion but none will be available. The woman with the issue of blood on my mind today.

She got wind that Jesus was passing by where she was. She had heard stories about His miracles and desperately needed a touch from Him. She had many limitations and it would have helped if she had someone to share her plans with and seek their opinion too.

She probably had no friends; likely abandoned by family because of her condition. Since she only had herself, “… she thought, [to herself] “If I just touch His clothing, I will get well.” Mark 5:28.

What you say to yourself can either spur you on to better things or set you back. The importance of internal conversations cannot be overemphasized. Learn to encourage yourself; don’t always wait for someone’s encouragement to push you.

Too many voices can be confusing and even discouraging. Imagine if this woman had sought opinions before moving. I bet she’d never have been healed. Yes, seek counsel but remember also that the Holy Spirit dwells within you and orders your steps daily. Learn to commune with yourself, there will be times when it will just be you and yourself alone.

Blessings!

Love, Lady Monica ❤️
