Important Dots

I don’t know about you but I think a lot about God’s creation. I think about the sheer magnificence of what God has made and continues to make. It actually calms my spirit and assures me that nothing is impossible for such a God. When I ponder on all of His wonderous creation, of things seen and unseen, known and unknown, the vastness of the universe, I become more and more in awe of our Creator.

In Job 38, He listed a few of the incredible things He does in answer to Job’s audacious questioning.

“Who shut up the sea behind doors when it burst forth from the womb, when I made the clouds its garment and wrapped it in thick darkness, when I fixed limits for it and set its doors and bars in place, when I said, ‘This far you may come and no farther; here is where your proud waves halt’? Job 38:8‭-‬11. Huh?!

Then I think about us, man, you and I. All things considered we are just a dot in creation, yet we are the most important of His creations. He put everything in place before He made us, so we have all we need to make life here livable. He didn’t just call us forth from nothing. He took His time to form us and breathed His very breath into us. He died for us and would do it again if need be.

We are that important to Him. God cherishes you and I beyond our imagination. He would go to any length just to bring us into His embrace. Be confident in who you are in Him and in His love. We may be small dots but we are significant ones.
